جُمَّاعُ أَبْوَابِ الْأَفْعَالِ الْمُبَاحَةِ فِي الصَّلَاةِ

(335) بَابُ الرُّخْصَةِ فِي الْإِشَارَةِ فِي الصَّلَاةِ وَالْأَمْرِ وَالنَّهْيِ
335 Chapter: Permission to Gesture in Prayer for Commanding or Forbidding.
Hadith Number: 885
نا محمد بن رافع ، حدثنا عبد الرزاق ، عن معمر ، عن الزهري ، عن انس ، قال:" كان النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم يشير في الصلاة"
Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) used to gesture during the prayer.

قال ابو بكر: قد امليت خبر ابي الزبير، عن جابر" اشتكى رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، فصلينا وراءه وهو قاعد، فاشار إلينا فقعدنا" . ثناه الربيع ، حدثنا شعيب ، نا الليث ، عن ابي الزبير ، عن جابر
Abu Bakr (may Allah have mercy on him) says that I have written down the hadith of Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) became ill, so we performed prayer behind him (standing) while he (peace and blessings be upon him) was sitting. He (peace and blessings be upon him) gestured to us (to sit and pray), so we also sat down.
