(416) بَابُ الصَّلَاةِ عَلَى الْفِرَاءِ الْمَدْبُوغَةِ
416 Chapter: Praying on Tanned Animal Skins.
Hadith Number: 1006
نا بندار ، وبشر بن آدم ، قالا: حدثنا ابو احمد الزبيري ، حدثنا يونس بن الحارث ، عن ابي عون ، عن ابيه ، عن المغيرة بن شعبة ، ان النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم كان " يصلي على الحصير، والفروة المدبوغة" قال ابو بكر: ابو عون هذا هو محمد بن عبيد الله الثقفي
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Mughirah bin Shu’bah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) used to pray on a mat and on tanned leather. Imam Abu Bakr (may Allah have mercy on him) says that the name of Abu ‘Awn is Muhammad bin ‘Ubaidullah al-Thaqafi.
