Sahih Ibn Khuzaymah
جُمَّاعُ أَبْوَابِ الرَّكْعَتَيْنِ قَبْلَ الْفَجْرِ وَمَا فِيهَا مِنَ السُّنَنِ
Chapters on Two Rak‘ahs before Fajr and their Sunnahs
(476) بَابُ الرُّخْصَةِ فِي تَرْكِ الِاضْطِجَاعِ بَعْدَ رَكْعَتَيِ الْفَجْرِ،
The chapter on the concession to skip lying down after the two units before Fajr
Hadith Number: Q1122
والدليل على ان النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم إنما امر بالاضطجاع بعد ركعتي الفجر امر ندب وإرشاد لا امر فرض وإيجاب، والرخصة في الحديث بعد ركعتي الفجر
And the evidence that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, only commanded lying down after the two rak‘ahs of Fajr as a recommendation and guidance, not as an obligation or requirement, and the concession in the hadith after the two rak‘ahs of Fajr.

Hadith Number: 1122
نا سعيد بن عبد الرحمن المخزومي ، حدثنا سفيان ، عن سالم ابي النضر ، عن ابي سلمة بن عبد الرحمن ، عن عائشة ، قالت:" كان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يصلي ركعتي الفجر، فإن كنت مستيقظة حدثني، وإن كنت نائمة اضطجع حتى يقوم للصلاة"
Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) would perform the two rak'ahs (Sunnah) of Fajr, then if I was awake, he would talk with me, and if I was asleep, he would lie down until the (obligatory) prayer stood.
