The chapter on the permissibility of voluntary prayer on donkeys during travel
Hadith Number: Q1268
ويخطر ببالي في هذا الخبر دلالة على ان الحمار ليس بنجس وإن كان لا يؤكل لحمه إذ الصلاة على النجس غير جائز
I am thinking about this hadith that the donkey is not impure, even though its meat is not eaten, because it is not permissible to pray on something impure.

Hadith Number: 1268
حدثنا احمد بن عبدة ، اخبرنا محمد بن دينار ، عن عمر بن يحيى ، حدثني سعيد بن يسار ، عن ابن عمر ، قال: رايت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم " يصلي على حمار، او على حمارة، وهو متوجه نحو خيبر" يعني التطوع. قال ابو بكر: هذا محمد بن دينار الطاحي البصري
Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that I saw the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) performing a voluntary prayer on a donkey or a she-donkey, while his blessed face was towards Khaybar. Imam Abu Bakr (may Allah have mercy on him) says that this is Muhammad bin Dinar, al-Tahi al-Basri.
