657| Command to free slaves at the solar eclipse
Hadith Number: 1401
نا محمد بن معمر بن ربعي ، نا موسى بن مسعود ابو حذيفة ، حدثنا زائدة ، عن هشام بن عروة ، عن فاطمة ، عن اسماء ، قالت: امر النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم " بالعتاقة في كسوف الشمس" . نا الدارمي ، حدثنا مصعب بن عبيد الله الزبيري ، حدثنا عبد العزيز يعني الدراوردي، عن هشام بهذا الإسناد مثله، وقال:" امر بعتاقة حين كسفت الشمس"
Lady Asma (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered the freeing of slaves at the time of a solar eclipse. The Imam reports from the chain of narration of Janab Darawardi, in which the words are that he ordered the freeing of slaves at the time of a solar eclipse.
