جماع أَبْوَابِ صَلَاةِ الْعِيدَيْنِ، الْفِطْرِ وَالْأَضْحَى، وَمَا يُحْتَاجُ فِيهِمَا مِنَ السُّنَنِ

685| Bringing a spear to the prayer place on the two Eids
Hadith Number: Q1433
ليستتر بها الإمام في المصلى إذا صلى بذكر خبر مجمل لم يبين فيه العلة التي كان النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم يخرج العنزة من اجلها
The imam does not use it as a screen in the prayer place when he prays, based on a general report in which the reason was not clarified for which the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, used to bring out the spear.

Hadith Number: 1433
نا محمد بن بشار ، حدثنا عبد الوهاب ، حدثنا عبيد الله ، عن نافع ، عن ابن عمر ، قال: كان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم " يركز الحربة يوم الفطر والنحر يصلي إليها، وكان يخطب بعد الصلاة"
Narrated by Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both): The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to go out (to the Eid ground) on the days of Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha carrying a spear, which he would place as a sutrah (barrier) and then perform the prayer behind it, and after the prayer he would deliver the sermon.

حدثنا يونس بن عبد الاعلى ، نا يحيى بن عبد الله بن بكير ، حدثني الليث ، عن خالد وهو ابن يزيد ، عن سعيد بن ابي هلال ، عن نافع ، ان عبد الله اخبره، ان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم" كان يخرج يوم الفطر، ويوم الاضحى بالحربة يغرزها بين يديه حين يقوم يصلي"
Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) on the days of Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha (in the Eidgah) would fix a spear or (lance) in the ground and use it as a sutrah and then perform the prayer.
