Sahih Ibn Khuzaymah
جماع أَبْوَابِ صَلَاةِ الْعِيدَيْنِ، الْفِطْرِ وَالْأَضْحَى، وَمَا يُحْتَاجُ فِيهِمَا مِنَ السُّنَنِ
Chapters on Eid Prayers and their Sunnahs
(687) بَابُ تَرْكِ الصَّلَاةِ فِي الْمُصَلَّى قَبْلَ الْعِيدَيْنِ وَبَعْدَهَا اقْتِدَاءً بِالنَّبِيِّ وَاسْتِنَانًا بِهِ
687| Not praying in the prayer place before or after the two Eid prayers, following the Prophet's example
Hadith Number: 1436
نا محمد بن بشار ، نا محمد يعني ابن جعفر ، حدثنا شعبة ، عن عدي بن ثابت ، قال: سمعت سعيد بن جبير يحدث، عن ابن عباس: ان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم خرج يوم فطر او اضحى واكبر علمي، انه قال: يوم الفطر فصلى ركعتين لم يصل قبلها ولا بعدها، ثم اتى النساء ومعه بلال فامرهن بالصدقة، فجعلت المراة تلقي خرصها وصخابها"
Saeed bin Jubair (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) went out on the day of Eid al-Fitr or Eid al-Adha. I think he mentioned Eid al-Fitr. So the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) led two units of prayer. He did not perform any prayer before or after it. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) went to the women, and Sayyiduna Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him) was with him. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) instructed them to give charity. So the women began to take off their rings and necklaces and started giving them to (Sayyiduna Bilal, may Allah be pleased with him).
