Hadith Number: 1438
نا يونس بن عبد الاعلى ، اخبرنا ابن وهب ، قال: كتب إلي كثير بن عبد الله بن عمرو يحدث، عن ابيه ، عن جده ، قال: رايت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم " كبر في الاضحى سبعا وخمسا، وفي الفطر مثل ذلك"
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Amr bin Awf (may Allah be pleased with him) that he reports: I saw the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say seven takbirs before the recitation in the first rak'ah of the Eid prayer, and five takbirs before the recitation in the second rak'ah.
