كِتَابُ الْإِمَامَةِ فِي الصَّلَاةِ وَمَا فِيهَا مِنَ السُّنَنِ مُخْتَصَرٌ مِنْ كِتَابِ الْمُسْنَدِ

(3) بَابُ فَضْلِ صَلَاةِ الْعِشَاءِ وَالْفَجْرِ فِي الْجَمَاعَةِ
3| Virtue of praying Isha and Fajr in congregation
Hadith Number: Q1473
والبيان ان صلاة الفجر في الجماعة افضل من صلاة العشاء في الجماعة، وان فضلها في الجماعة ضعفي فضل العشاء في الجماعة
And the clarification that the Fajr prayer in congregation is superior to the Isha prayer in congregation, and that its virtue in congregation is twice the virtue of the Isha prayer in congregation.

Hadith Number: 1473
نا محمد بن رافع ، نا الفضل بن دكين ، نا سفيان ، عن عثمان بن حكيم اصله مدني سكن الكوفة، عن عبد الرحمن بن ابي عمرة ، عن عثمان بن عفان ، قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: " من صلى العشاء في جماعة، كان كقيام نصف ليلة، ومن صلى الفجر في جماعة كان كقيام ليلة"
Sayyiduna Uthman bin Affan (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever performs the ‘Isha prayer in congregation, it is as if he has performed tahajjud for half the night. And whoever performs the Fajr prayer in congregation, it is as if he has performed tahajjud for the entire night."
