جماع أَبْوَابِ صَدَقَةِ الْفِطْرِ فِي رَمَضَانَ
Chapters on Zakat al-Fitr in Ramadan
(114) بَابُ الدَّلِيلِ عَلَى أَنَّ صَدَقَةِ الْفِطْرِ فَرْضٌ عَلَى كُلِّ مَنِ اسْتَطَاعَ أَدَاءَهَا
114 Subchapter: Zakat al-fitr is obligatory for everyone able to pay

خلاف قول من زعم ان فرضها ساقط عن من لا يجب عليه زكاة الفطر.
Contrary to the statement of the person who says that Sadaqat al-Fitr is not obligatory upon the one upon whom Zakat is not obligatory.

Hadith Number: 2399
حدثنا الحسن بن محمد الزعفراني ، حدثنا عبد الله بن نافع الزبيري ، ومحمد بن إدريس ، قالا: حدثنا مالك ، عن نافع ، عن ابن عمر ،" ان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم فرض زكاة الفطر في رمضان على الناس صاعا من تمر، او صاعا من شعير على كل حر وعبد، ذكر وانثى من المسلمين" .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) made obligatory the Sadaqat al-Fitr of one sa’ of dates or one sa’ of barley upon all Muslim people in Ramadan. (Barley) shall be given by every free person, slave, man, and woman.

Hadith Number: 2400
حدثنا يونس بن عبد الاعلى ، انبانا ابن وهب ، ان مالكا ، اخبره بمثله سواء، وقال: من رمضان، وقال: ذكر وانثى.
It is narrated from Imam Malik, may Allah have mercy on him, in a similar manner as mentioned above. Instead of "fi Ramadan," the words "min Ramadan" are used. And the words "male" and "female" are mentioned.
