جماع أَبْوَابِ ذِكْرِ أَفْعَالٍ اخْتَلَفَ النَّاسُ فِي إِبَاحَتِهِ لِلْمُحْرِمِ، نَصَّتْ سُنَّةُ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَوْ دَلَّتْ عَلَى إِبَاحَتِهَا

(378) بَابُ ذِكْرِ الْبَيَانِ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَصَرَ الصَّلَاةَ بِالْأَبْطَحِ بَعْدَمَا نَفَرَ مِنْ مِنًى،
Clarification that the Prophet shortened prayers at al-Abtah after leaving Mina.

ضد قول من يحكي لنا عنه من اهل عصرنا ان الحاج إذا قفل راجعا إلى بلده عليه إتمام الصلاة.
Contrary to the statement of some scholars of our time who say that when the pilgrim sets out for his city, he should perform the complete prayer.

Hadith Number: 2995
حدثنا يعقوب بن إبراهيم الدورقي ، حدثنا وكيع ، حدثنا سفيان ، حدثنا عون بن ابي جحيفة ، عن ابيه ، قال:" اتيت النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم بالابطح، وهو في قبة له حمراء، قال: فخرج بلال بفضل وضوئه فبين ناضح ونائل، فاذن بلال، فكنت اتتبع فاه هكذا وهكذا يعني يمينا وشمالا، قال: ثم ركزت له عنزة، فخرج النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، وعليه جبة له حمراء، او حلة له حمراء، فكاني انظر إلى بريق ساقيه فصلى إلى العنزة الظهر، او العصر ركعتين تمر المراة، والحمار، والكلب، وراها لا يمنع، ثم لم يزل يصلي ركعتين حتى اتى المدينة" ، قال ابو بكر: خرجت طرق خبر يحيى بن ابي إسحاق، عن انس في غير هذا الموضع
Sayyiduna Abu Juhaifah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that I came to the service of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) in the valley of Abtah while he was sitting in his red tent. Sayyiduna Abu Juhaifah (may Allah be pleased with him) says that then Sayyiduna Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him) brought the leftover water from the Prophet’s ablution (and began to distribute it). So some companions received water and some only got a few drops. Then Sayyiduna Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him) gave the call to prayer; I saw him turning his face to the right and to the left. Then a small spear was fixed for the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), and when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) came out, he was wearing a beautiful red cloak or a beautiful red suit. It is as if I am seeing the shine of his shins. Then he used that small spear as a sutrah and performed two rak‘ahs each for Zuhr and ‘Asr. Women, donkeys, and dogs kept passing behind the sutrah (and he completed the prayer). Then he continued to perform only two rak‘ahs of prayer until he reached Madinah Munawwarah. Imam Abu Bakr (may Allah have mercy on him) says: I have mentioned all the routes of narration from Yahya bin Ishaq from Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) at another place.

حدثنا احمد بن عبدة ، اخبرنا عبد الوارث ، عن يحيى وهو ابن ابي إسحاق ، عن انس بن مالك ، قال: خرجنا مع رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم من المدينة إلى مكة، وكان يصلي بنا ركعتين حتى رجعنا إلى المدينة، قال: قلت له: هل اقمت بمكة شيئا؟ قال:" اقمنا بها عشرا"
Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that we set out on a journey from Madinah Munawwarah to Makkah Mukarramah with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and he continued to lead us in two rak‘ahs (of prayer) until we returned to Madinah Munawwarah. Yahya bin Abi Ishaq says that I asked Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him),“Did you stay in Makkah Mukarramah for some days?”He replied,“We stayed in Makkah Mukarramah for ten days.”
