طهارة المشرك إذا أسلم
Purity of a Polytheist Upon Accepting Islam
Hadith Number: 14
حدثنا إبراهيم بن مرزوق ، قال: ثنا ابو عامر ، عن سليمان ، عن الاغر ، عن خليفة ابن حصين بن قيس بن عاصم ، عن جده قيس بن عاصم رضي الله عنه انه اسلم،" فامره النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم ان يغتسل بماء وسدر" .
Sayyiduna Qais bin Asim (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that when he embraced Islam, the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) instructed him to perform ghusl (ritual bath) with water and lote tree leaves.

Hadith Number: 15
حدثنا محمد بن يحيى ، قال: ثنا عبد الرزاق ، قال: ثنا عبيد الله ، وعبد الله ابنا عمر، عن سعيد المقبري ، عن ابي هريرة رضي الله عنه، ان ثمامة الحنفي اسر فاسلم، فامره ان يغتسل فاغتسل وصلى ركعتين، فقال النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم:" لقد حسن إسلام اخيكم".
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that Thumamah al-Hanafi was captured, then he accepted Islam. So the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) ordered him to perform ghusl (ritual bath), so he performed ghusl and offered two rak‘ahs (units of prayer). The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Your brother has embraced Islam in a very good manner.
