Wearing armor
Hadith Number: 1060
حدثنا عبد الله بن هاشم ، قال: ثنا سفيان ، عن يزيد بن حصيفة ، عن السائب بن يزيد إن شاء الله، ان النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم" كان عليه يوم احد درعان" .
Sayyiduna Sa’ib bin Yazid (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that on the day of the Battle of Uhud, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was wearing two coats of mail.

حدثنا محمد بن يحيى ، قال: ثنا حجاج ، قال: ثنا حماد ، قال: ثنا ابو الزبير ، عن جابر رضي الله عنه، ان النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، قال:" إنه ليس لنبي إذا لبس لامته ان يضعها حتى يقاتل" .
Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: It is not appropriate for a prophet to wear weapons and then remove them without fighting.
