كِتَاب الصِّيَامِ
The Book of Fasting
باب صِيَامِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي غَيْرِ رَمَضَانَ وَاسْتِحْبَابِ أَنْ لاَ يُخْلِيَ شَهْرًا عَنْ صَوْمٍ.
Chapter: The Prophet's Fasts at times other than Ramadan; and it is recommended to ensure that no month is free of fasting

وحدثنيه علي بن حجر ، حدثنا علي بن مسهر . ح وحدثني إبراهيم بن موسى ، اخبرنا عيسى بن يونس كلاهما، عن عثمان بن حكيم ، في هذا الإسناد بمثله.

وحدثني زهير بن حرب ، وابن ابي خلف ، قالا: حدثنا روح بن عبادة ، حدثنا حماد ، عن ثابت ، عن انس رضي الله عنه. ح وحدثني ابو بكر بن نافع واللفظ له، حدثنا بهز ، حدثنا حماد ، حدثنا ثابت ، عن انس رضي الله عنه، ان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: " كان يصوم حتى يقال قد صام قد صام، ويفطر حتى يقال قد افطر قد افطر ".
And narrated to me Zuhayr ibn Harb and Ibn Abi Khalaf, they said: Rawh ibn ‘Ubadah narrated to us, Hammad narrated to us, from Thabit, from Anas, may Allah be pleased with him. And narrated to me Abu Bakr ibn Nafi‘—and the wording is his—Bahz narrated to us, Hammad narrated to us, Thabit narrated to us, from Anas, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him: "He would fast until it was said, 'He has fasted, he has fasted,' and he would break his fast until it was said, 'He has broken his fast, he has broken his fast.'"
