بَابٌ فِي ذِكْرِ الْجَمَاعَةِ وَأَهْلِهَا وَصِفَةِ الْإِمَامِ
Chapter on mentioning the congregation, its people, and the description of the imam

حدثنا ابن صاعد ، نا محمد بن صالح بن النطاح ، ثنا الحسن بن حبيب بن ندبة ، ثنا إسماعيل المكي ، عن الحسن ، عن سمرة بن جندب ، ان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، قال:" إذا كان اثنان صليا معا فإذا كانوا ثلاثة تقدم احدهم" .
Sayyiduna Samurah bin Jundub (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When there are two men, they should stand together and perform the prayer, and if there are three, then one of them should step forward (as the imam)."
