Humaid bin Abdur Rahman Humairi, may Allah have mercy on him, says: I met such a companion who had the honor of the company of the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, for four years, just like Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him. He said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, forbade us from combing our hair every day, or urinating in the bathhouse, or for a wife to perform ghusl (ritual bath) with water left over by her husband, or for a husband to bathe with water left over by his wife. They should both take a handful of water together (i.e., bathe together at the same time).

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Hakam bin Amr Ghifari, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "A man is prohibited from performing ablution with water left over by a woman."

(Second chain) The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade a man from performing ablution with water left over by a woman. Now, they do not know whether it referred to the water left over from a woman's ablution, or her leftover (used) water.

(The third chain) The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "A man is forbidden from performing ablution with the leftover water from a woman's ablution."

A companion from the tribe of Ghifar (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "A man is forbidden from performing ablution with the water left over from a woman's purification."
