It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Bakrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to recite this supplication after every prayer: "O Allah! I seek refuge with You from disbelief, poverty, and the torment of the grave." (O Allah! I seek Your protection from disbelief, poverty, and the punishment of the grave.)

(Muslim bin Abi Bakrah says:) I passed by my father and he was making this supplication: "O Allah! I seek refuge with You from disbelief, poverty, and the punishment of the grave." So I also memorized this supplication from him and began to recite it after every prayer. Once, my father passed by me while I was making this supplication, and he asked me: "My child! Where did you learn these words from?" I said: "Father! I heard you reciting them after every prayer, so I learned these words from you." He said: "Dear son! Hold fast to them, for the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to recite them after every prayer."

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to recite this supplication at the end of Witr: "O Allah! Indeed, I seek refuge in Your pleasure from Your displeasure, and I seek refuge in Your pardon from Your punishment, and I seek refuge in You from You. I cannot enumerate praise of You; You are as You have praised Yourself." (O Allah!
Abu Zubair says: I heard Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Zubair (may Allah be pleased with him) delivering a sermon on this pulpit, and he used to say that when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) finished the prayer or prayers and turned for salam, he would say: "There is no god but Allah, He is alone, He has no partner, to Him belongs the dominion and to Him belongs all praise, and He is over all things competent. There is no power and no strength except with Allah, and we worship none but Him, O Possessor of bounty, grace, and beautiful praise, there is no god but Allah, we are sincere to Him in religion, even if the disbelievers dislike it." (There is no deity worthy of worship except Allah, He is alone, He has no partner, all sovereignty and all praise belong to Him, and He is capable of everything. There is no power to avoid evil and no strength to do good except with Allah. We worship none but Him. O Possessor of bounty, grace, and beautiful praise, there is no deity worthy of worship except Allah, we are sincere to Him in religion, even if the disbelievers dislike it.)

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdur Rahman bin Ghanm Ash’ari (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever, after completing the Maghrib and Fajr prayers, before leaving his prayer place and before folding his legs, recites this supplication ten times: LAA ILAAHA ILLALLAHU WAHDAHU LAA AREEKA LAHU, LAHUL MULKU WALAHUL HAMD, BIYADIHIL KHAIR, YUHYEE WA YUMEET, WAHUWA ‘ALAA KULLI AY’IN QADE . (There is no god but Allah, He is alone, He has no partner, to Him belongs all sovereignty and to Him belongs all praise, in His hand is all good, He gives life and causes death, and He has power over all things.) For every time he says this, ten good deeds will be written for him, ten sins will be erased, and his ten ranks will be elevated, and these words will be a protection for him from every disliked thing and from the accursed Satan, and no sin except shirk will be able to destroy such a person, and such a person will be the most virtuous among all people in terms of deeds, except for the one who is more virtuous than him, that is, the one who recites this remembrance more than him.
