Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar narrates that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: When any of your wives asks permission to go to the mosque, he should not stop her. The wife of Sayyiduna Umar bin Khattab, may Allah be pleased with him, also used to pray in the mosque. Sayyiduna Umar, may Allah be pleased with him, said to her: You know what I prefer. But she said: By Allah! I will not stop until you forbid me. Then, when Sayyiduna Umar, may Allah be pleased with him, was stabbed, his wife was in the mosque.
