بَابُ مَا جَاءَ فِي الْحِجَامَةِ لِلصَّائِمِ
Chapter: What Has Been Reported Regarding Cupping for the Fasting Person
Hadith Number: 3748
عن شداد بن اوس رضي الله عنه انه مر مع رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم زمن الفتح على رجل يحتجم بالبقيع لثماني عشرة خلت من رمضان وهو آخذ بيدي فقال: ((افطر الحاجم المحجوم))
Sayyiduna Shaddad bin Aws (may Allah be pleased with him) says: On the occasion of the conquest of Makkah, I was with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) passed by a man at the Baqi’ place who was having cupping done. This incident took place on the eighteenth of Ramadan, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was also holding my hand. (Upon seeing this) the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Both the one who performs cupping and the one who gets cupped have broken their fast.

Hadith Number: 3749
(وعنه من طريق ثان): قال: مر رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم علي وانا احتجم في ثماني عشرة خلون من رمضان فقال: ((افطر الحاجم والمحجوم))
(Second chain) He says: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, passed by me while I was having cupping done; this was on the eighteenth of Ramadan. He said: The one who performs cupping and the one who gets cupped have both broken their fast.

Hadith Number: 3750
عن معقل بن سنان رضي الله عنه ان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم مر به وهو يحتجم لثماني عشرة، قال: ((افطر الحاجم والمحجوم))
Narrated by Sayyiduna Ma'qil bin Sinan (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) passed by him while he was having cupping done. It was the eighteenth day of the month of Ramadan. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The one who does cupping and the one who gets cupped, both have broken their fast.

Hadith Number: 3751
عن ثوبان مولى رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم ان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم اتى على رجل يحتجم في رمضان فقال: ((افطر الحاجم والمحجوم))
Mawla of the Messenger, Sayyiduna Thawban (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) passed by a man who was having cupping done during the month of Ramadan. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) said: Both the one who does cupping and the one who gets it done have broken their fast.

Hadith Number: 3752
عن رافع بن خديج رضي الله عنه قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وصحبه وسلم: ((افطر الحاجم والمحجوم))
Sayyiduna Rafi’ bin Khadij (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Both the one who applies cupping and the one to whom it is applied have broken their fast.

وعن بلال بن ابي رباح رضي الله عنه عن النبي صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم مثله
Sayyiduna Bilal bin Abi Rabah (may Allah be pleased with him) has also narrated a similar tradition from the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family).

وعن اسامة بن زيد رضي الله عنه عن النبي صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم مثله
Sayyiduna Usamah bin Zaid (may Allah be pleased with him) has also narrated this same hadith from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him).
