بَابُ النَّهْيِ عَنْ كَسْرِ الدَّرَاهِم وَالدَّنَانِيرِ الَّتِي يُتَعَامَلُ بِهَا إِلَّا مِنْ بَأْسٍ
Chapter: Prohibition of breaking silver and gold coins in circulation except for necessity
Hadith Number: 5991
عن علقمة بن عبد الله عن ابيه رضي الله عنه قال نهى نبي الله صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم ان تكسر سكة المسلمين الجائزة بينهم إلا من باس
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mughaffal (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade breaking the currency in circulation among the Muslims, except in case of necessity.
