Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) said: Its killer is wretched. I said: O Abu Abdur Rahman! Are you saying this? He withdrew his hand from me and said: I heard the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say that when a man from my Ummah sets out to kill another, then the one who is killed (should act) like the son of Adam (peace be upon him) (and not raise his hand), because the slain will be in Paradise and the killer in Hell.

Abdur Rahman bin Aaidh, who was from the people of Syria, narrates: He says that Sayyiduna Uqbah bin Aamir (may Allah be pleased with him) went to Masjid Al-Aqsa to perform prayer, and some other people followed behind him. He said: Why have you come? The people said: The thing that brought us is your companionship with the Messenger of Allah; we wish to walk with you and to greet you with peace. He said: Dismount and perform prayer. The people dismounted, and he led them in prayer, and the people prayed with him. Then after completing the prayer with salam, Sayyiduna Uqbah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: Whoever meets Allah without associating anything with Him, and who is not involved in any unlawful bloodshed, will enter Paradise through whichever gate he wishes.
