Chapter on What Has Been Reported Regarding Perfume for Men and Women
Hadith Number: 8167
عن ابي هريرة رضي الله عنه قال قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم الا إن طيب الرجل ما وجد ريحه ولم يظهر لونه الا إن طيب النساء ما ظهر لونه ولم يوجد ريحه
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) said: The fragrance for men is that whose scent is apparent and whose color is not, and the fragrance for women is that whose color is apparent and whose scent is not.

حكم: صحيح
Hadith Number: 8168
عن قتادة رضي الله عنه عن الحسن رضي الله عنه عن عمران بن حصين رضي الله عنه ان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم قال لا اركب الارجوان ولا البس المعصفر ولا البس القميص المكفف بالحرير قال واوما الحسن إلى جيب قميصه وقال الا وطيب الرجال ريح لا لون له الا وطيب النساء لون لا ريح له
Sayyiduna Imran bin Husain (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: I will neither ride on a red silk cloak, nor wear clothes dyed with safflower, nor wear such a shirt whose collar and sleeves are adorned with silk. Along with this, Hasan pointed towards the collar of his shirt. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) further said: Beware! The fragrance for men is that which has no color, and the fragrance for women is that which has color but no scent.

حكم: حسن لغيره دون قوله: ’ولا البس القميص المكفف بالحرير فقد صح ما يخالفه
