هِجْرَةُ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَأَصْحَابِهِ مِنْ مَكَّةَ إِلَى الْمَدِينَةِ إذنه ﷺ لاصحابه بالْهَجْرَةِ مِنْ مَكَّةَ إِلَى الْمَدِينَةِ
The migration of the Prophet ﷺ and his companions from Mecca to Madinah—his ﷺ permission for his companions to migrate from Mecca to Madinah
Hadith Number: 10609
حدثنا عفان حدثنا شعبة عن ابي إسحاق قال سمعت البراء بن عازب قال اول من قدم علينا من اصحاب رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم مصعب بن عمير وابن ام مكتوم قال فجعلا يقرئان الناس القرآن ثم جاء عمار وبلال وسعد قال ثم جاء عمر بن الخطاب في عشرين ثم جاء رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم فما رايت اهل المدينة فرحوا بشيء قط فرحهم به حتى رايت الولائد والصبيان يقولون هذا رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم قد جاء قال فما قدم حتى قرات {سبح اسم ربك الاعلى} [الاعلى: 1] في سور من المفصل
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Bara’ bin Azib (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: The first Companions to come to us were: Sayyiduna Mus‘ab bin ‘Umair and Sayyiduna Ibn Umm Maktum (may Allah be pleased with them both), these two used to teach people the Noble Qur’an. Then Sayyiduna ‘Ammar, Sayyiduna Bilal, and Sa‘d also arrived. After them, Sayyiduna ‘Umar bin Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) came along with twenty individuals. Thereafter, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) arrived. I have never seen the people of Madinah so happy as they were at his (peace and blessings be upon him) arrival, to the extent that I saw girls and boys saying:“The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) has arrived!”Before the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) had arrived, I had already learned Surah Al-A‘la and some of the other short surahs.
