Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said from the pulpit: Indeed, what I fear most for you is that which Allah will bring forth for you from the earth in the form of its grapes and the wealth and luxuries of the world. A man said: O Messenger of Allah! Does good also bring evil? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) remained silent until we saw that revelation began to descend upon him, his breath became heavy, and he began to sweat profusely. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: Where is the questioner? He said: Here I am, and my intention was only good. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Indeed, good only brings good, indeed, good only brings good, indeed, good only brings good. The real matter is that this world is lush and sweet. Whatever the spring grows, due to the swelling of the belly, it either kills or brings close to killing. An animal keeps eating fodder until its stomachs are filled, then it lies down in the sun and passes thin dung and urine, and then starts eating again. The point is, whoever acquires the world with its due right, there will be blessing in it for him, and whoever takes it without right, there will be no blessing in it for him; rather, he will be like the one who eats but is never satisfied.
