بَابُ مَا جَاءَ فِي قُرَّةَ بْنِ أَيَّاسِ الْمُزَنِى وَالِدِ مُعَاوِيَةَ بن قرة رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ
Chapter on What Has Been Narrated Regarding Qurrāh ibn Iyas al-Muzani, the Father of Mu'awiyah ibn Qurrāh, may Allah be pleased with him
Hadith Number: 11878
حدثنا ابي ثنا وهب بن جرير ثنا شعبة عن ابي اياس يعني معاوية بن قرة عن ابيه يعني قرة بن اياس رضي الله عنه انه اتى النبي صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم فدعا له ومسح راسه
Sayyiduna Muawiyah bin Qurrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates from his father Sayyiduna Qurrah bin Iyas (may Allah be pleased with him) that he went to the service of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), so the Prophet supplicated for him and passed his hand over his head.

Hadith Number: 11879
حدثني معاوية بن قرة عن ابيه قال اتيت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم في رهط من مزينة فبايعناه وإن قميصه لمطلق قال فبايعناه ثم ادخلت يدي في جيب قميصه فمسست الخاتم قال عروة فما رايت معاوية ولا ابنه قال واراه يعني إياسا في شتاء قط ولا حر إلا مطلقي ازرارهما لا يزران
Sayyiduna Muawiyah bin Qurrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates from his father, who says: I came to the service of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) with a caravan from the tribe of Muzaynah. We pledged allegiance to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). The buttons of his shirt were open, so I put my hand inside his shirt and touched the Seal of Prophethood. Urwah says: Whenever I saw Sayyiduna Muawiyah (may Allah be pleased with him) and his son Iyas in summer or winter, the buttons of their shirts would be open; they would not fasten them.
