عمر بن عبد العزيز عن الربيع بن سبرة الجهني
Umar bin Abdul Aziz from Rabi' bin Sabrah Al-Juhani
بَابُ النَّهْيِ عَنْ النِّكَاحِ الْمُتَعَةِ وَذِكْرُهُ أَمَامَ عُمَرَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ رَحِمَهُ اللَّهُ
Chapter: The prohibition of temporary marriage (mut'ah) and its mention before Umar ibn Abd al-Aziz, may Allah have mercy on him
Hadith Number: 93
حدثني عيسى بن يونس الرملي ، ثنا ايوب بن سويد ، حدثني ابن شهاب محمد بن مسلم ، اخبرني الربيع بن سبرة الجهني ان اباه، قال: كنت استمتعت في عهد رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم من امراة من بني عامر ببردين احمرين، " ونهانا رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم عن المتعة" ، قال: وسمعت الربيع بن سبرة يحدث ذلك عمر بن عبد العزيز وانا جالس.
Rabee’ bin Sabrah Al-Juhani narrated, his father said, I contracted Mut’ah marriage with a woman from Banu ‘Amir in exchange for two red garments during the time of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him), and then the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) forbade us from Mut’ah marriage. Muhammad bin Muslim said, I heard Rabee’ bin Sabrah narrate this to Umar bin Abdul Aziz (may Allah have mercy on him) while I was sitting with them.
