كِتَابُ التَّفْسِيرِ
Book of Tafsir (Quranic Exegesis)
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {اهْدِنَا الصِّرَاطَ الْمُسْتَقِيمَ}
His saying, the Exalted: "Guide us to the straight path"
Hadith Number: 174
حدثنا سعيد، قال: اخبرنا حدثنا سعيد، قال: اخبرنا سويد بن عبد العزيز ، قال: اخبرنا حصين بن عبد الرحمن ، قال: حدثني مرة الهمداني ، عن ابن مسعود ، قال: " الصراط على النار، يمر اولهم مثل البرق، ثم كالطير، ثم كالفرس الجواد، وآخرهم يمر حبوا، والملائكة قيام معهم كلاليب من نار، يخطفون الناس يمينا وشمالا، حتى يقذفوهم في النار" .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) said that the Sirat is over Hell. Some people will cross it like lightning, then some like a bird, then some like a fast horse, and some will cross it crawling on their knees. And the angels will be standing there, with hooks of fire in their hands; they will seize people from the right and the left and throw them into Hell.

Hadith Number: 175
حدثنا سعيد، قال: اخبرنا حدثنا سعيد، قال: اخبرنا سفيان ، عن عمرو بن دينار ، عن ثابت، سمع ابن عباس يقرا: السراط بالسين" .
Thabit (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates that Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) used to recite "As-Sirat" with the letter "Seen."
