كِتَابُ التَّفْسِيرِ
Book of Tafsir (Quranic Exegesis)
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَعَهِدْنَا إِلَى إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَإِسْمَاعِيلَ أَنْ طَهِّرَا بَيْتِيَ لِلطَّائِفِينَ وَالْعَاكِفِينَ وَالرُّكَّعِ السُّجُودِ}
His saying, Exalted is He: {And We charged Abraham and Ishmael, "Purify My House for those who perform Tawaf and those who stay for worship and those who bow and prostrate."}
Hadith Number: 217
حدثنا سعيد، قال: اخبرنا ابو الاحوص ، عن سعيد بن مسروق ، عن عطاء ، في قوله: " طهرا بيتي للطائفين سورة البقرة آية 125، قال:" كانت فيه اصنام، فامرا ان يخرجاها منه" .
Ata (may Allah have mercy on him) said about the verse: ﴿Purify My House for those who perform Tawaf﴾: There were idols placed in it, so they were commanded to remove them from there.
