Tawoos (may Allah have mercy on him) says: I asked Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) about the statement of Allah the Exalted «فَلَا رَفَثَ» , so he replied: The“rafath”mentioned here is not what you think, as in the statement of Allah the Exalted: ﴿أُحِلَّ لَكُمْ لَيْلَةَ الصِّيَامِ الرَّفَثُ﴾. Rather, what is meant by it in the Arabic language is obscene speech and referring to marriage indirectly.
