Mujahid (may Allah have mercy on him) said regarding the verse: "And whether you disclose what is in yourselves or conceal it" (__QUR_N__): This verse was hard on the companions. They said: O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! We find in our hearts some things whose disclosure we do not like, so will we be held accountable for them? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Do you really face this issue? That is pure faith. Then Allah the Exalted revealed the verses: "The Messenger has believed in what was revealed to him from his Lord" (__QUR_N__).
