كِتَابُ التَّفْسِيرِ
Book of Tafsir (Quranic Exegesis)
الْآيَاتُ (75 - 77) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ عَاهَدَ اللهَ لَئِنْ آتَانَا مِنْ فَضْلِهِ لَنَصَّدَّقَنَّ} إِلَى قَوْلِهِ تَعَالَى: {وَبِمَا كَانُوا يَكْذِبُونَ}
Verses (75 - 77) His saying, Exalted is He: {And among them are those who made a covenant with Allah, "If He should give us from His bounty, we will surely spend in charity"} to His saying: {And because they used to lie}
Hadith Number: 1026
نا ابو معاوية ، عن الاعمش ، عن عمارة بن عمير ، عن عبد الرحمن بن يزيد ، قال: قال عبد الله : " اعتبروا المنافقين بثلاث: إذا حدث كذب، وإذا وعد اخلف، وإذا عاهد غدر، فانزل الله عز وجل تصديق ذلك: ومنهم من عاهد الله لئن آتانا من فضله لنصدقن سورة التوبة آية 75" إلى آخر الآية .
Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) said: Recognize the hypocrites by three things; when he speaks, he lies; when he makes a promise, he breaks it; and when he makes a covenant, he betrays it. Thus, Allah the Exalted revealed this verse in confirmation of it: ﴿وَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ عَاهَدَ اللَّهَ لَئِنْ آتَانَا مِنْ فَضْلِهِ لَنَصَّدَّقَنَّ﴾ until the verse was completed.
