الْآيَةُ (119) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اتَّقُوا اللهَ وَكُونُوا مَعَ الصَّادِقِينَ}

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) said: Lying is not permissible either in seriousness or in jest. The evidence for this is the statement of Allah, the Exalted: ﴿يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَكُونُوا مَعَ الصَّادِقِينَ﴾ meaning: O you who believe! Fear Allah and be with those who are truthful.
