كِتَابُ الطَّلَاقِ
Book of Divorce
بَابُ الرَّجُلِ يُطَلِّقُ الْمَرْأَةَ تَطْلِيقَةً أَوْ تَطْلِيقَتَيْنِ ثُمَّ تَرْجِعُ إِلَيْهِ بَعْدَ زَوْجٍ عَلَى كَمْ تَكُونُ عِنْدَهُ
Chapter: A man divorces his wife once or twice, then she returns to him after marrying another—how many times does she have left with him?
Hadith Number: 1535
حدثنا سفيان، عن ايوب، عن محمد، عن شريح، قال: " هي عنده على ثلاث" .
It is narrated from Hazrat Shurayh (may Allah have mercy on him) that a woman will be divorced with three divorces.

Hadith Number: 1536
حدثنا حدثنا هشيم، عن بعض اصحابه , عن سعيد بن جبير، عن ابن عباس ، قال: " نكاح جديد وطلاق جديد" .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) that there will be a new marriage and a new divorce.

Hadith Number: 1537
حدثنا هشيم، نا مغيرة، عن فضيل، عن إبراهيم، قال مغيرة: واظنه قد سمعته , من إبراهيم , انه كان يقول: " إذا تزوجت زوجا فدخل بها , فإن دخوله يهدم بقية الطلاق، وإذا لم يدخل بها , فهي على ما بقي" .
It is narrated from Ibrahim (may Allah have mercy on him) that if the second husband consummates the marriage, the first divorce is nullified, and if he does not consummate, the first divorce remains.

Hadith Number: 1538
حدثنا ابو معاوية، نا الاعمش، عن إبراهيم، قال: كان اصحاب عبد الله , يقولون: " يهدم النكاح الثلاث، ولا يهدم الواحدة والثنتين" .
It is narrated from Ibrahim (may Allah have mercy on him) that the companions of Sayyiduna Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) used to say that a new marriage (nikah) ends three divorces, but does not end one or two.
