Chapter on what is reported regarding the shares of men and horses
Hadith Number: 2770
نا جرير بن عبد الحميد، عن ليث، عن مجاهد، قال:" اول من اشار على النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم للفرس سهمين، عمر بن الخطاب رضي الله عنه" .
Mujahid (may Allah have mercy on him) said: The first to advise the Prophet (peace be upon him) that two shares be allotted for a horse was Sayyiduna Umar bin Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him).
