بَابُ مَا جَاءَ فِي سَهْمِ الدَّلِيلِ وَالْبَرِيدِ
Chapter on what is reported regarding the share of the guide and the courier
Hadith Number: 2796
نا إسماعيل بن عياش، عن ابي بكر بن ابي مريم، عن عطية بن قيس، وراشد بن سعد، ان:" البريد، والدليل، والرسول يبعثه الإمام من المعسكر انه يجري لهم سهمهم مع المسلمين، وقد تخلف عثمان يوم بدر، فاجرى له سهما من الغنيمة" .
Atiyyah bin Qais (may Allah have mercy on him) and others said: "If the Imam sends an envoy, guide, or messenger, a share should be allotted for them along with the Muslims. Thus, Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him) could not participate in Badr, but a share was allotted for him."
