المُقَدِّمَةُ
Introduction
باب الاعتصام بالسنة وما يتعلق بها نقلا وأمرا وزجرا - ذكر إثبات الفلاح لمن كانت شرته إلى سنة المصطفى صلى الله عليه وسلم-
Chapter: Holding fast to the Sunnah – Success is for those whose enthusiasm is for the Prophet’s Sunnah.
Hadith Number: 11
اخبرنا احمد بن علي بن المثنى ، قال: حدثنا ابو خيثمة ، قال: حدثنا هاشم بن القاسم ، قال: حدثنا شعبة ، عن حصين بن عبد الرحمن ، عن مجاهد ، عن عبد الله بن عمرو ، قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم:" إن لكل عمل شرة، وإن لكل شرة فترة، فمن كانت شرته إلى سنتي فقد افلح، ومن كانت شرته إلى غير ذلك فقد هلك" .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, every deed has a period of enthusiasm, and every enthusiasm has a period of slackening. Whoever’s enthusiasm is directed towards my Sunnah has succeeded, and whoever’s enthusiasm is directed elsewhere will be destroyed."
