Sayyiduna Abu Sa‘id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:“By Him in Whose Hand is my soul, all of you will certainly enter Paradise, except the one who refuses and rebels against Allah in the manner that a camel rebels.”The people asked:“O Messenger of Allah! Who will refuse to enter Paradise?”The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:“Whoever obeys me will enter Paradise, and whoever disobeys me, he has refused.”

(Imam Ibn Hibban, may Allah have mercy on him, says:) Obedience to the Messenger of Allah is this: that his Sunnah is followed, abandoning its manner and quantity, and rejecting the statement of anyone who presents his own opinion regarding the religion of Allah that is contrary to the Sunnah of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). A person should not try to abandon this Sunnah by making weak interpretations and useless innovative excuses.
