ذكر الزجر عن أن لا يستغني المرء بما أوتي من كتاب الله جل وعلا-
Warning against thinking one is self-sufficient with what one has from the Book of Allah
Hadith Number: 120
اخبرنا محمد بن الحسن بن قتيبة ، قال: حدثنا يزيد بن موهب ، قال: حدثنا الليث ، عن ابن ابي مليكة ، عن عبيد الله بن ابي نهيك ، عن سعد بن ابي وقاص ، عن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، قال: " ليس منا من لم يتغن بالقرآن" قال ابو حاتم: معنى قوله صلى الله عليه وسلم:" ليس منا" في هذه الاخبار يريد به: ليس مثلنا في استعمال هذا الفعل، لانا لا نفعله، فمن فعل ذلك فليس مثلنا.
Sayyiduna Sa’d bin Abi Waqqas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this statement of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him):“Whoever does not recite the Qur’an with a pleasant voice is not one of us.”
(Imam Ibn Hibban, may Allah have mercy on him, says:) The statement of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him):“He is not one of us,”is for the purpose of informing, and what is meant is that whoever does this act is not like us (in action), because we do not do this act, so whoever does so will not be like us.
