باب الفطرة - ذكر الخبر المصرح بأن نهيه صلى الله عليه وسلم عن قتل الذراري من المشركين كان بعد قوله صلى الله عليه وسلم هم منهم-
Chapter: Fitrah – Explicit narration that the Prophet’s prohibition of killing children of polytheists was after saying“they are of them”
Hadith Number: 137
اخبرنا جعفر بن سنان القطان بواسط، حدثنا العباس بن محمد بن حاتم ، حدثنا محمد بن عبيد ، حدثنا محمد بن عمرو ، عن الزهري ، عن عبيد الله بن عبد الله ، عن ابن عباس ، عن الصعب بن جثامة ، قال: سمعت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، يقول: " لا حمى إلا لله ولرسوله"، وسالته عن اولاد المشركين: انقتلهم معهم؟ قال:" نعم، فإنهم منهم"، ثم نهى عن قتلهم يوم حنين .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates the statement of Sayyiduna Sa'b bin Jathamah (may Allah be pleased with him): He heard the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: "Pasture is only the property of Allah and His Messenger." The narrator says: I asked the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) about the children of the polytheists: Should we kill them along with their people? The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Yes! They are part of them." (The narrator states) Then, on the occasion of the Battle of Hunayn, the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade killing them.
