باب فرض الإيمان - ذكر البيان بأن الجنة إنما تجب لمن شهد بما وصفنا عن يقين منه ثم مات على ذلك-
Chapter: Obligation of Faith – Clarification that Paradise is only guaranteed for one who fulfills these conditions with certainty and dies upon them
Hadith Number: 204
اخبرنا محمد بن إسحاق بن خزيمة ، قال: حدثنا محمد بن يحيى الازدي ، قال: حدثنا عبد الوهاب بن عطاء ، قال: حدثنا سعيد ، عن قتادة ، عن مسلم بن يسار ، عن حمران بن ابان ، عن عثمان بن عفان ، عن عمر بن الخطاب ، قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: " إني لاعلم كلمة لا يقولها عبد حقا من قلبه فيموت على ذلك إلا حرمه الله على النار: لا إله إلا الله" .
Sayyiduna Uthman Ghani (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates from Sayyiduna Umar bin Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I know of a word—whoever servant recites this word with a sincere heart and dies upon it, Allah Almighty will make the Hellfire forbidden for him." That word is: "La ilaha illallah" (There is no god but Allah).
