Chapter on Acts of Obedience and Their Rewards – Permissibility of calling acts of obedience“devotion”(qunoot).
Hadith Number: 309
اخبرنا ابن سلم ، قال: حدثنا حرملة ، قال: حدثنا ابن وهب ، قال: اخبرني عمرو بن الحارث ، عن دراج ، عن ابي الهيثم ، عن ابي سعيد الخدري ان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، قال: " كل حرف في القرآن يذكر فيه القنوت فهو الطاعة" .
Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this statement of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Every letter in the Qur'an in which the mention of 'Qunoot' is found, by it is meant obedience."
