باب ما جاء في الطاعات وثوابها - ذكر الإخبار عما يجب على المرء من لزوم الرجاء وترك القنوط مع لزومه القنوط وترك الرجاء
Chapter on Acts of Obedience and Their Rewards – One must maintain hope and avoid despair, even if he struggles with both.
Hadith Number: 346
اخبرنا سليمان بن الحسن بن المنهال ابن اخي الحجاج بن المنهال، حدثنا احمد بن ابان القرشي ، حدثنا عبد العزيز بن محمد ، عن هشام بن عروة ، عن ابيه ، عن عائشة رضي الله عنها ان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، قال:" إن الرجل ليعمل بعمل اهل الجنة، وإنه لمن اهل النار، وإن الرجل ليعمل بعمل اهل النار وإنه لمن اهل الجنة" .
Sayyidah Aisha Siddiqa (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Sometimes a person keeps performing deeds like those of the people of Paradise, even though he is from the people of Hell. And sometimes a person keeps performing deeds like those of the people of Hell, even though he is from the people of Paradise."
