باب حسن الخلق - ذكر البيان بأن الخلق الحسن من أثقل ما يجد المرء في ميزانه يوم القيامة
Chapter on Good Character – Good character is among the heaviest things in the scale on Judgment Day.
Hadith Number: 481
اخبرنا ابو خليفة ، قال: حدثنا محمد بن كثير ، وشعيب بن محرز ، والحوضي ، قالوا: حدثنا شعبة ، عن القاسم بن ابي بزة ، عن عطاء الكيخاراني ، عن ام الدرداء ، عن ابي الدرداء ، عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، قال: " اثقل شيء في الميزان الخلق الحسن" ، قال ابو حاتم رضي الله عنه: عطاء هذا هو عطاء بن عبد الله وكيخاران: موضع باليمن وام الدرداء: هي الصغرى واسمها هجيمة بنت حيي الاوصابية، والكبرى: خيرة بنت ابي حدرد الانصارية، لها صحبة.
Sayyiduna Abu Darda’ (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said:“The heaviest thing in the scale is good character.”
(Imam Ibn Hibban, may Allah have mercy on him, says:) The narrator named ‘Ata is ‘Ata bin Abdullah, and Kaikharan is the name of a place in Yemen. Sayyida Umm Darda’ the younger was named Hujaymah bint Hayyi, while the elder Sayyida Umm Darda’ (may Allah be pleased with her) was named Khayrah bint Abu Hudard Ansariyyah, and she was a female companion.
