Hadith Number: 532
اخبرنا عبد الله بن احمد بن موسى بعسكر مكرم، قال: حدثنا محمد بن معمر ، قال: حدثنا ابو عاصم ، عن ابن جريج ، قال: اخبرني ابو الزبير انه سمع جابر بن عبد الله ، يقول: لدغت رجلا منا عقرب ونحن مع رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، فقال رجل: يا رسول الله ارقيه؟ فقال صلى الله عليه وسلم: " من استطاع منكم ان ينفع اخاه، فليفعل" .
Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with both of them) narrates: One of us was stung by a scorpion. We were with the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). A man said: Shall I perform ruqyah (incantation) for him? The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: Whoever among you can benefit his brother, he should do so.
