Chapter on Companionship and Sitting – Clarification that loving one’s Muslim brother more makes one superior
Hadith Number: 566
اخبرنا الحسن بن سفيان ، قال: حدثنا سعد بن يزيد الفراء ابو الحسن ، قال: حدثنا مبارك بن فضالة ، قال: حدثنا ثابت ، عن انس بن مالك : ان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، قال: " ما تحاب اثنان في الله، إلا كان افضلهما اشدهما حبا لصاحبه" .
Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this statement of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him): "Whenever two people love each other for the sake of Allah, then the better of the two is the one who has more intense love for his companion."
