Chapter on Companionship and Sitting – Recommendation to win the heart of a Muslim brother by permissible means
Hadith Number: 578
اخبرنا عبد الله بن محمد الازدي ، قال: حدثنا إسحاق بن إبراهيم ، قال: اخبرنا عفان ، قال: حدثنا حماد بن سلمة ، عن ثابت ، عن انس بن مالك ان رجلا قام إلى النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، فقال: اين ابي؟ قال:" في النار" فلما قفى دعاه، فقال صلى الله عليه وسلم:" إن ابي واباك في النار" .
Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: A man stood before the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). He asked: Where is my father? The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) replied: In Hell. When he turned to leave, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) called him back and said: My father and your father are in Hell.
