Chapter on Sitting on the Road – Instruction on the manners required for those who sit on the paths of Muslims
Hadith Number: 597
اخبرنا النضر بن محمد بن المبارك ، حدثنا محمد بن عثمان العجلي ، حدثنا عبيد الله بن موسى ، عن إسرائيل ، عن ابي إسحاق، عن البراء ، قال: مر النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم على مجلس الانصار، فقال: " إن ابيتم إلا ان تجلسوا، فاهدوا السبيل، وردوا السلام، واغيثوا الملهوف" .
Sayyiduna Bara’ (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: Once the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) passed by a gathering of the Ansar and said:“If you insist on sitting, then guide those on the way, respond to greetings, and help those in need.”
