Chapter on Recitation of the Quran – On the information that Allah revealed the Quran in known modes
Hadith Number: 742
اخبرنا ابو خليفة ، قال: حدثنا ابو الوليد ، قال: حدثنا حماد بن سلمة ، عن حميد ، عن انس ، عن عبادة بن الصامت ، قال: قال ابي بن كعب : قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: " انزل القرآن على سبعة احرف" .
Sayyiduna Ubayy bin Ka'b (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The Qur'an has been revealed on seven modes (ahruf)."
