Chapter on Remembrance – On the recommendation to count glorification and declaration of oneness on the fingers, as they will testify
Hadith Number: 842
اخبرنا ابو يعلى ، قال: حدثنا ابو بكر بن ابي شيبة ، قال: حدثنا محمد بن بشر ، قال: سمعت هانئ بن عثمان ، عن امه حميضة بنت ياسر ، عن جدتها يسيرة وكانت إحدى المهاجرات، قالت: قال لنا رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: " عليكن بالتسبيح والتهليل والتقديس، واعقدن بالانامل، فإنهن مسئولات ومستنطقات" .
Hameedah bint Yasir narrates from her grandmother Sayyidah Yaseerah: She was one of the women who migrated. She narrates that the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said to us: You women should recite tasbeeh (glorification), tahleel (declaration of the oneness of Allah), and taqdees (sanctification), and count them on your fingertips, for you will be questioned about them and they will be made to speak.
