Chapter on Supplications – On the permissibility to raise one’s hands when supplicating to Allah
Hadith Number: 877
اخبرنا الحسين بن عبد الله بن يزيد القطان بالرقة، حدثنا سهل بن صالح الانطاكي ، قال: اخبرنا يزيد بن هارون ، قال: اخبرنا شعبة ، عن ثابت ، عن انس ، قال: كان النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم يرفع يديه في الدعاء حتى يرى بياض إبطيه" .
Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) used to raise both his hands during supplication, to the extent that the whiteness of his armpits would become visible.
